New Board and Officers elected

At the Friends Membership Meeting on August 25, five new Board members were elected to serve 3-year terms:  Elizabeth Veillette, Sarah Page, Kate Kruckmeyer, Dottie Blain-Hamel, and Nick Alger.

In addition, three returning members were elected to 1-year terms:
Michael Baron, Darlene Elias, and Sandy Ward.

Officers for 2015 – 2016 were then elected:

• President: Sandy Ward
• Vice President: Kate Kruckmeyer
• Treasurer: Barbara Raines
• Assistant Treasurer: Pattie Lumbra
• Secretary: Elizabeth Veillette
• Corresponding Secretary: Dottie Blain-Hamel

Upcoming plans for the Friends for 2015-2016 were reviewed, including these events in September:

September 10:  Sip/Paint/Fun to be held 6:00 - 8:30 PM at the Wyckoff Country Club. Enjoy wine and conversation, and paint your own painting, $40 with some proceeds to benefit the Friends. See Facebook event posting for more information. Or www.paintsipfun.com to register.

September 18-19: Book sale to be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. Volunteers are needed Thursday evening to help set up and Friday evening and Saturday to help with the sale. Call the Friends office 413-420-8110 (afternoons best time to catch volunteers there). Book donations will be accepted up until Wednesday, September 16.

September 29: Next meeting of the Board of the Friends, 7:00 - 8:15 PM in the Board room, Level 1 of the Library.  Open to all.
